Overview | Tate has produced a policy on commercial and non-commercial use of collections in relation to Creative Commons licences. The aim of the Tate policy regarding Creative Commons and non-commercial / commercial use of images of certain collection works is “to ensure a fair balance between free use of images in promoting the public’s enjoyment and understanding of British, modern and contemporary art, and Tate’s commercial activities, used to help fund the former.” It defines commercial and non-commercial uses and includes sections on scope, legal basis and breach of policy |
