The MW (MuseWeb) conferences convene annually in North America and Asia with occasional “deep dives” to sites of digital innovation in the field. The conferences feature advanced research and exemplary applications of digital practice for cultural, natural and scientific heritage.
The Museums and the Web Bibliography comprises all papers published on MW conference websites or in annual selected proceedings and is free to access. It is a vast archive of over 1,000 papers from the past 20 years of best practice in cultural heritage.
Entries can be filtered by year and are listed alphabetically by the primary author’s name. Select resources are also published each year into a book to purchase that supports MW.
The content on the bibliography is aimed at all levels of digital skill and contains a huge variety of resources, from case studies to more practical guides. Though some of the content can be quite technical, there are a wealth of resources here that are suitable for anyone interested in digital within the sector, including staff, volunteers, students and researchers.
In addition, MW has a community online where you can join in the discussion with other innovators and practitioners in the field.
